The AEDC's mission is to bring jobs and tax base to the Ankeny area.  Ankeny-area business growth is obvious with the recent expansions at Accumold, Perishable Distributors of Iowa (PDI) and Pratum,  Ankeny - population of 72,820 in 2021 - is the sixth largest city in the state with a community that is dedicated to quality of life, education and business promotion.
